This homeowner wanted an Asian-inspired backyard.  She and I worked together to bring in the elements to give her the feel she wanted. The flagstone we used for the pathways and patio had a unique purplish shade; I had never used this color before and we both loved it. Using three large sculpted rocks, we created places to sit and enjoy the fountain. To add to the sensual nature of this garden, we planted refreshing lemon thyme and other scented plants on the walkway. A local artist came in to give the yard a final touch - painting bamboo on the back stucco walls.  This house has been featured in the local garden tour.
